Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
I was born on Cape Cod, Massachusetts where I became interested in science from a young age. I decided to use that scientific curiosity and join the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a chemical engineering student. I was exposed to some research projects while at UMass, which were exciting enough to me that I chose to apply for graduate school. I was thrilled to be accepted to a great chemical engineering PhD program here at the University of Delaware. At UD I study the behavior of human blood under flow. I want to use this research to develop a non-invasive microfluidic device to assess and monitor astronaut cardiovascular health during spaceflight.
