Physics

Growing up, I was always fascinated by the way things moved such as the flow of water in a river.  In high school, I was delighted to discover that sets of equations and theorems beautifully explain almost everything we see in our everyday life! This fascination with physics propelled me through a B.S. in Physics from Duquesne University and into my fourth year as a Ph.D student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UD. Nowadays, my love of physics has joined with a new interest in scientific computation, as I run plasma simulations that replicate phenomena found in the solar wind. This will help in better understanding of the Sun-Earth interaction as well as space weather predictions. Following my degree, I hope to continue on to become a research scientist in plasma physics.
